The 80-hour Supervisory Institute (SI) provides participants a foundation on which to build their future as law enforcement leaders. Instructors facilitate modules on contemporary and historical leadership concepts and applications, strategies to improve communication skills, the prevailing risk management practices, agency and individual ethics for the manager, and performance evaluation. Students are required to apply all the principles learned in various activities and will give at least one short presentation. All of our instructors are Colorado law enforcement officers who have served at command level.
This 10-Day course is funded through a San Luis Valley Regional grant from Colorado POST. Which is only open to the San Luis Valley Training Region, until April 18, 2020. If seats are still available after April 18, 2020 then the registration will be open state wide.
Per POST guidelines, each agency is limited to four seats until two weeks prior to the start date.
Class starts at 8:00 am each day.
