The 80-hour Supervisory Institute (SI) provides participants a foundation on which to build their future as law enforcement leaders. Instructors facilitate modules on contemporary and historical leadership concepts and applications, strategies to improve communication skills, the prevailing risk management practices, agency and individual ethics for the manager, and performance evaluation. Students are required to apply all the principles learned in various activities and will give at least one short presentation. All of our instructors are Colorado law enforcement officers who have served at command level.
Week 1 will be held in Steamboat Springs and week 2 will be held in Granby.
This 10-Day course is funded through a grant from Colorado POST to the North West Training Region. Per POST guidelines, each agency is limited to four seats until two weeks prior to the start date.
